This game was entirely programmed by Optical using Turbowarp, a high-performance Scratch editor that supports advanced features and smoother performance.
Throughout development, custom extensions played a big role, coming from creators like LilyMakesThings, SharkPool, griffpatch, and many others. These allowed for systems that go far beyond standard Scratch capabilities.
Some art assets were created by Optical, but most come from free community packs from Itch.io assets creators, including: Seth (itch.io/profile/sethbb), Immunity (itch.io/profile/immunitys), Escape Pixel (itch.io/profile/escape-pixel), and many more. The full list can be found inside the game, in the credits section.
The original soundtrack was composed and produced by Optical using soundtrap.com.
Sound effects were gathered from free libraries across the web, mostly from pixabay.com and mixkit.co, both of which offer a wide range of high-quality resources for free.
I have been creating Scratch projects since I was quite young, but discovered Turbowarp some years ago, and totally fell in love with it; simple, yet seemingly powerful enough to run anything I throw its way!
I am currently 18 years old and studying programming. Game-making is a huge passion of mine, and I hope to create more and more as time goes on! With every new project, I strive to push my creativity and skills further :)
Pixel Siege is my first major project, and I’m incredibly excited to share it with you at last. I’m always working to improve and expand it, so I appreciate your patience and support!
